What I really feel is they are selling their name now. They are well aware that they have made their name through time and no matter how they behave or treat people, they will still get a large number of patient. They are more interested in money and no where you will feel humanity.
My age is 30 and IVF has very good success rate at this age. Also with there previous pregnancies obviously I have no fertility issue. During the procedure I was informed that I have about 15-20 follicles that is a very good number and I was expecting good number of eggs. However at the day of egg retrieval I was informed that they got only 5 eggs. This news was very disappointing because for a good number of embryos you must obtain 10-12 eggs. What I feel is that the timing of my egg retrieval was not well decided by the doctors.
Next day I got a call from hospital telling me that only 3 embryos were produced out of 4 eggs. I queried that I had 5 eggs retrieved but reply was no its 4. So they were still not sure how many eggs they have retrieved.
After two days I again got a call telling me that two embryos are female and one is abnormal so you must should not come again for embryo transfer, as you were only interested in male embryos. That’s all I was told no details or consolation. I was not expecting such a ruthless call. Only if she has started the call with this sentence “ we are sorry to inform you” I would have not written this blog.
They charged me RS 4,25,000/ and at the end I have nothing. Not even a detailed repot that tells me what happened with all this money. Who performed all the procedure? Was it a doctor or nurse? Who examined my embryos , a nurse or a clerk. I know nothing.
I live far from Lahore and cannot visit the hospital easily, in fact I do not want to visit the hospital ever again.
I will surely go for another cycle of Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) , but not from Hameed latif Hospital. I also recommend other to try new IVF centers who are working on quality output. And not only interested in making money.
